Cindy Whitehead's Fine Art
Cindy Whitehead Pastel Artist

Cindy has been painting with pastels for 10 years. She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and has had a number of paintings juried into local and international shows.
Cindy's paintings have won a number of awards of recognition and she has a following of collectors who appreciate her subject matter as well as the quality of light in her paintings.

"I paint what I love most, the land, water and sky and those beings who live amongst this. My paintings reflect the moment of reverence for the colour of a blade of grass, the deep shadows on a path or the vibrant spring green leaf, backlit by the rising sun. The experience of finding oneself over and over again while being present in a marsh or a forest or on a lake always moves me and inspires me to paint. Places where the habitat of plants and animals share the gift of their presence even though I have done nothing to earn it.
The heart, open to the experience, sees clearly what they already know, we are all a small part of the whole."
